I swear I’m not trying to turn DB into a showcase for Tyler Stout’s work only, but it’s hard not to highlight it when it’s this good.
Having spent about 5 years drawing homes & buildings in Illustrator in Los Angeles, I’m always excited to find someone doing it in an interesting way. I really like the orange treatment Andrei Marius gave this illustration over on VectorTuts.
It reminded me of a poster I started working on a few months ago but keep deciding that I don’t like. I’ve included a snippet of that after the break. Surely with a buildup like that, how can you resist?
Alex Roman has created one of the most awe-inspiring full CGI works that I’ve ever seen. Doesn’t hurt that it features some of the greatest architecture in the world, either. It’s really worth going over to Vimeo and checking it out in fullscreen HD (they won’t let me embed it).
Niels “Shoe” Meulman is a super-talented graffiti artist and creative director from Amsterdam. His work is so good, I’m actually shocked that I haven’t seen it before. He has a new book out, called “Calligraffiti” that looks fantastic.
Love the embossed leather label. This is a well-done product, from top to bottom. Bravo.
I just found these photos I took in Eastern Europe way back in 2003. I was convinced that I had accidentally deleted them.

I came across these covers for two of Akira Kurosawa’s best flicks the other day while looking for another one of his films on Netflix. Love them.
